Wouldn’t it be great if mind reading was a thing? Or better yet. If feeling reading was a thing. You wouldn’t have to spend the precious energy you have left, and need, explaining how you feel.
Talking about what I’m going through has it’s benefits. I can help people understand, but often words aren’t enough. I don’t believe it’s something you can truly appreciate unless you’ve experienced it. Honestly though, it’s not something I would wish on anyone.
Ok maybe once. Call it a feeling adventure. Because it would be. Who knows how it would go down for that person. It’s different for everyone.
If someone could read me it would save me from asking for probably the one thing I need most during these episodes. Someone to just sit with me. Be a comforting presence. Be my bowl if I need it. Hold my hand.
I don’t expect anyone to understand what we go through. I do kind of expect humans to want to help though. And just being there for another human takes no skill. We are all capable of that.
